Making Peace with the Pieces

It's amazing how everything finds a place...eventually.
Right now so much seems out-of-place in this unfamiliar place
of life without Rob...and yet, when I look around at all of the pieces
that are here in my new place, why lo and behold...
there he is...there we are!
 In the gooping lava lamp...
in the art that reminds me of our lovely Santa Fe times...
in art that recalls good NCCIL times
with new artist friends (RIP Gerald McDermott)...
in bent spoons and timers from the ledge at the Sweet 16...
in this cool "Rob-redeemed" wooden bowl that sat
on the beautifully "Rob-redeemed" buffet
behind Rob's chair at the Sweet 16...
in the gift of little birds left in Raphael's Retreat
by our B&B guests, Ed & Virginia...
in oodles of shells collected and contained on
his many shore excursions...
in this Irish prayer that has blessed our last four homes
and Mother's inquiry about why we were
supporting Joe Biden...: )
(Thank you, Kay)
in this glorious glass that produced
Paw-Paws galore in my STUDY-O, and the
exotic butterfly lady who dangled and danced
from the light fixture.

"For I know the plans I have for you..."

Indeed!
