Here is what Charles Powell, the original owner of my
current copy of The Way to Love,
wrote on the last page of the Matthew 14 chapter:
"How can I do this when I have a family!"
Great question, Charles.
Perhaps this cannot be "seen" (although it's always there)
until we get some distance from all those societal expectations
...the "dropping out" piece.
I really hope that Charles got the chance to do
this"dropping out" in some form or fashion before he died.
It appears to make all the difference, and yet most of us
never want to have to go "there".
