I love my downtown neighborhood.
I've passed this cafe many times on my way to the bank,
and today I decided to step in for lunch.
The food was yummy.
Grilled chicken, yams, collard greens & cornbread!
That's Lee in the middle.
It was the noon-hour and the place was hopping...
and the signs on the walls
were a hoot!
I'll be back for the Friday catfish!
Then just a block or two down and I'm at my
neighborhood courthouse for a
visit with the county clerk.
Then I meet Casey from Expect A Miracle Ministries
on the street corner across from the Pioneer, making contacts
and offering freshly baked banana bread for a $5 donation.
I shook his hand, picked out my loaf and gave him $5.
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
