Day 4: Time Out

Here's where we spent most of today...
a very good day to stay in--
 cold, cloudy and windy outside--
a perfect day for reaching and snoozing.
(That should have read "reading" and snoozing; at least
I don't recall any "reaching".)
I stepped out for lunch, book-in-hand, while Rob
recovered further from our wild night at Johnny Fox's.

Then when he woke up a couple of hours later,
we went back down for his lunch of
the very traditional fish and chips with mushy peas.

And so Rob would not have to eat alone, I ate this yummy pastry
from the dessert trolley.
We chatted up our server, Gabriella,
and she seemed to get quite a kick out of us.
It seems everywhere we go, we make people laugh.
Do other nationalities never laugh?
Or are they just indulging these dotty old Americans?
 Beautiful views out the windows...
We had planned to sit by the fireplace and read, but they
were setting up for a big photo-shoot and had "reserved" signs on
the tables where we would have spent the evening.
Gabriella said it was some fancy magazine that would be
featuring this particular Ritz Carlton.
How about that!

So back to our room

 for more R&R and
to get ready for our big day in Dublin tomorrow!

Stay tuned...
