From 7:45am until 6pm, Caleb and I covered all the bases:
The Science Spectrum
Here's one!
Showing his moves on the court...
Rim-hanger...
Fancy footwork...
Then 3D glasses and XD Theatre for The Lorax...
We got there really early and he picked out the best seats.
While we ate popcorn and shared the Blueberry ICEE he had selected,
(We agreed it smelled and tasted like bathroom air freshener.)
the best thing ever happened!
PapaRob texted us to say that he too was going to the 2:15 showing
of The Lorax (3D) at a theatre in Abilene,
so we could just pretend we were all watching it together. What fun!

"Pass the popcorn, please!"
And then these email comments from PapaRob:
What a grand blog ME. Made a few tears in my eyes, and made me glad I made a lunch time decision to go "Loraxing". The movie was great, and all along I was telling myself where ya'll would be laughing the most. I know you muct be tired, but at 24, you should recover quite well.........don't you think, you young'un you! Caleb looked very happy to be with you. You are a GRAND Grand!!!!!!!
Then time-out for that favorite 6" sandwich of his at you-know-where.
And finally, the Clay Cafe...
While we painted, we chatted.
I commented that it's amazing how these dull painted clay objects
turn into such shiny works of art after they are fired in the kiln.

And Caleb said it would be nice if people could do that too.
When I asked him what he meant, he said, "Oh, you're not old, Emmy,
but if you were it could make you shiny forever."
When I asked him how old he thought I was, he said twenty-four.
When I told him I was sixty-four, he said,
"But you act twenty-four."
Hmmmm...I'm taking that as a big compliment from this little playmate of mine.
The day will come when he will not want to hang out with his M.E.,
so I'm enjoying all this goodness while it lasts!
As I drove home after taking Caleb home and kissing my boys goodbye, I thought,
This is one of those days you want to put in a jar and enjoy forever.
Enough...way MORE than enough!
