When I walked out this morning to get the paper,
things looked different in light of
the terrible tornado devastation in Oklahoma.
I saw with different eyes our little starter-home neighborhood
and didn't just see houses...but the people in them:
Sally, Allison, Nathan, Stacy, Alex,
Annabell, Casey, Kahlor, and Brook
The skies look ominous.
There are reports of more tornadoes brewing
throughout the state today.
I think of friends and family in the Dallas area.
And I pray for some semblance of peace
for those in Moore, Oklahoma, whose lives have
literally been turned upside down...
and yet, there's this quote in the paper:
“It could be worse,” JoAnn said. “We're alive.”
