Well, this should have been posted on May 27th...
so it is a day late.
Yesterday would have been Mother and Daddy's
74th wedding anniversary.
Henrietta was a wedding gift
from Daddy's Sunday School teacher of the same name.
This cute little juicer has maintained her sweet disposition on many a shelf
and kitchen counter top in the last several houses we've inhabited.
When I see her,
I'm reminded that "love never fails";
it may encounter lots of bumps and skids,
but it keeps showing up, in one form or another.
Thanks, Henrietta!
Your parents were a wonderful example of what a good marriage looks like. Even in the hard times they learned a new normal and loved and cared for each other. I'm so glad I got to witness that first hand.
