Out of the mouths of babes...

When we sat down for Mother's service at the cemetery, 

Sawyer sat in my lap and showed me 

the little program with Mother's picture in it.

He said, "Look Emmy...it's GG; she died.  
How did she?"

7-year-old cousin Gwyneth, who was sitting 

in the row in front of us, turned around and whispered, 

"She had bacteria on her brain."

That seemed to be as good an answer as any.

Then Caleb, sitting on my right, 

looked at the picture on his little program and said, 

"GG was so nice."

Sometimes kids say it just right.

"Emmy, I can always tell it's you from the back 

because of your hair and your fun clothes."
