"Like this!"

"You did it!"

Soon thereafter, the "worker" came over to tell them
not to slide down the up-going ladder.

Well, pooh!!

Magic

Looking for action on Tuesday, Caleb and I headed north to
Dave's Need 4 Speed.
I'd heard about it but had no idea what to expect.

It was really quite a fun place, with cosmic golf, laser tag,
go-carts, bumper cars, and video games.

But the neatest part was how Caleb worked his "magic" and found his way
into a family group that was celebrating "Granddad Camp".

Before the afternoon was over, he had been "adopted" by this family
and had made a new best friend, Ryan.

I asked him how he managed to make friends everywhere he goes,
and he said,
"I guess it's just magic, Emmy."

"e di nuevo"

"And back again..."

Hmmm...well, guess I just can't do it...whatever "it" is.
Seems I have more to journal, so here goes.

Not so fast!

I just can't say goodbye without including
the last few days of my recent AA experience, so here goes:

Spent a special Thursday with Tenna
at her and Bobby's wonderful home in picturesque Buffalo Gap
where we ate scrumptious homemade avocado-sprout sandwiches,
a favorite of mine at the Health Food Store.
Sprouts freshly sprouted by Tenna!
For dessert we dined on yummy chocolate-cake-in-a-cup.

Then we headed into Buffalo Gap for ingredients

to finish out my long awaited birthday "party-in-a-bag."

The evening was spent in shiny meditation at Unity Church.

"Attraversiamo"

This is a great word with which to end this blogsite.

"Attraversiamo" means "let's cross over" in Italian,
and it is time to cross over into whatever is next for me and the folks I love.

For twenty-one months now I have used this site to chronicle
the amazing experiences that have shown up in my life...
so many of which I had absolutely nothing to do with,
and yet they appeared, usually just in time.

Now it is time to step into "what's next",
with gratitude for the past and enthusiasm for the future.

Yes, "attraversiamo"...let's cross over!

Love, M.E.

Finding Inner Courage, p. 199

...we have only this chance to love--now, today, to love whoever or whatever is before us. For the mountains will outlast us. The love will outlast us. But who we are will be used up to keep the blessing going. So put down whatever you have carved that is sharp--your mind, your edge, all your prepared responses. This is something that beggars all preparation. In the loving, nothing is ever saved and nothing is ever lost.  --Mark Nepo

Red, white and blue day...

Sitting out here by the lake,
watching the jet skis, fishing boats and occasional sailboat...
and feeling the west Texas winds a-blowing
...aaaaah, nice!
The neighbors have already set off a few fireworks,
and it isn't even 6:30 yet...
so can only imagine the celebrating that will be going on after dark.

Let me catch up on my AA doings:

Last Saturday with Rich and Deb was like old times...so sweet!
Lots of talking and laughing and just plain being together,
something we've missed so much.

Deb and I went into town and had a great visit with precious Linda
and her family, including all the furry ones.
Then it was back with the guys for a fabulous Italian dinner
(remember this time last year?)
and more together-time around the table.
Gee, we miss them!
Sunday was a wonderful lazy day with an afternoon drive out and about.
We've managed to find some great FREE movies on TV and read lots of books
...feels like vacation.

Monday was doctor day for Mother and another good visit,
with errands and lunch included.
I snuck by Ro's to return "the pitcher"
and had the pleasure of meeting Baby Jude in the flesh!
What a cutie!

Tuesday was special time with my adorable friend and TOG
(The Other Grandmother),
Deaun, who treated me to lunch at Hickory Street (yes, again!)
and then shared her brand new granddaughter, Channing, with me.
Thanks, Brooke, for letting me cuddle a baby-in-pink for a change.

Today...well, so far, just a delightful "hanging" day,
with Rob ready to do some more grilling

and another movie for the watching at 8:00.

Then fireworks at 10...
but the moon stole the show!
Aaaaah...ooooooh...aaaaah...
